Final Reflection and Evaluation

At the end of the project you will be asked to reflect upon your learning about mathematics and also your online interactions. The reflection can be either written or recorded orally. Partners will review their collaborative work and product using the Reflection Rubric below.

Measurement Concepts
1
Little to no attempt has been made to make logical estimates. Measurements are not written correctly or are not labeled. Directions are unclear and difficult to understand. Little to no evidence of new learning and understanding about measurement concepts.

2-3
Some attempt has been made to make logical estimates. Most measurements are written correctly and labeled. to discuss the geometry concepts present in the drawing. Directions are mostly understandable, but may need some clarification to implement the event. There is evidence of some analysis of new personal learning and understanding about measurement concepts.

3-4
Logical thinking is evident in student's estimates. Measurements have the correct units and are written correctly. Directions are well written and easy to understand and follow. There is evidence of analysis of new personal learning and understanding about measurement concepts.

Number Operations Concepts
1-2
Work is not shown with calculation errors. Little to no evidence of new learning and understanding about number ooperation concepts.

2-3
Work is shown with a few minor calculation errors. There is evidence of some analysis of new personal learning and understanding about number operation concepts.

3-4
All work is shown with no calculation errors. There is evidence of analysis of new personal learning and understanding about number operation concepts.

Geometry Concepts
1
Little to no attempt has been made to discuss the geometry concepts present in the drawing. Little to no evidence of new learning and understanding about geometric concepts.

2-3
Some attempt has been made to discuss the geometry concepts present in the drawing. There is evidence of some analysis of the interrelationship of geometry concepts to each other. There is evidence of some analysis of new personal learning and understanding about geometric concepts.

3-4
Clear and consistent evidence of discussions about the geometry concepts present in the drawing. There is evidence of an analysis of the interrelationship of geometry concepts to each other. There is evidence of analysis of new personal learning and understanding about geometric concepts.

Online Interaction
1
Review of Partner work and discussions throughout the project does not reveal discussion, responses to questions posed, nor a collaboratively drawn project.

2-3
Communication between partners was limited. There is little evidence of the partners providing sufficient feedback and suggestions. There is little evidence of the partners incorporating the suggestions offered to improve the drawing. Partners did not contribute equally to the project.

3-4
Communication between partners was frequent. There is evidence of discussion between partners. Ideas were offered and questions were posed and responded to resulting in a collaboratively drawn project in which each partner shared equally.
